The Research team provides investors with a deep understanding of companies, the valuation of their securities and the environment they operate in. It forms part of the package of advice and service we offer to both our institutional and our corporate clients.

Our coverage is structured by sector, and we focus on growth sectors and companies where Arbuthnot Securities has a competitive edge. We currently cover c.129 different stocks and c.70 closed-end funds, with an average market capitalisation of c.£510m. We focus on key corporate issues rather than minutiae, and we actively challenge consensus opinions.

Frequent management contact and a high commitment to prompt client service are key characteristics of our research approach. We have a consistent framework within which we analyse, value and present our stocks. This provides us with a strong platform from which to trade actively.

Our flagship publication, the Arbuthnot Company Evaluator (ACE), is updated weekly and is available to our institutional clients online as well as printed quarterly.
