Arbuthnot Securities is an integrated Investment Bank servicing small and medium sized companies. The business offers a full range of services from corporate finance through to research, sales, trading and market making business. The Securities business is the investment banking subsidiary of Arbuthnot Banking Group, which has a 175 year history of serving its customers, as well as a long track record of profitability against the background of a continually changing environment.

The Securities business has gone through substantial change in the last year. One third of the employees are new since 1st June 2008. We have added several new research sectors, revamped our distribution and made new management appointments. We now act for c.96 corporate clients.

The Arbuthnot Securities management team have extensive experience of the banking sector, with each member having served on average 15 years in the securities industry.

The team is led by Neil Kirton, who joined the firm in 2006 and became Chief Executive in 2008. His previous roles include Global Head of Equity Sales at ABN Amro NV, Head of UK Equity Sales at Hoare Govett and Deputy Chief Executive at Hoare Govett Securities (UK), and Head of Equities at Bridgewell Securities.

August 2010 - New Head of Research Appointed Craig Fraser has been appointed Head of Research. Craig has over thirteen years experience covering the Business Services sector. He previously ran the large-cap pan-European Leisure/Business Services research at Goldman. Followed by a similar position as head of the team for four years at Lehman, then at CSFB. Most recently he was at Liberum where he was the deputy Head of Research, and covered Business Services and Leisure.
